I really haven’t had much interest in photography lately. Or anything, really. That might be part of the reason that all I ever seem to take pictures of anymore is food… It’s there and available. I don’t have to think about it, just notice that it’s there.
Lately I’ve been really busy trying to write a paper proposal. I started taking a graduate course again. It’s just a research methods course, but it’s starting to tear little holes in my brain. I keep looking for different things to eat or drink that will keep me motivated and alert. You know, I’m looking for brain food. There’s been a lot of tea in my life the last two days — specifically the blueberry lemon from the Eastern Shore Tea Company.
I’ve also been experimenting with green smoothies… Well, actually, blueberry smoothies with some spinach and pineapples in them. More than anything, though, I’ve been eating a lot of apples. Apples aren’t really brain food, but Honey Crisp apples last a long time and taste great with my friend Charmissa’s peanut butter/greek yogurt dip. I like to make a lot of it and save some in the freezer for later… But it’s amazing. The peanut butter is the rigntht amount of sweet, the greek yogurt is the right amount of tart. It’s like tangy whipped peanut butter.
So, help me out, guys. What’s your favorite brain food? Leave me a comment and let me know! Send me recipes galore, please!
